20 IT Tips and Tricks for you
Here are a few tips to save you time:
- CTRL + Left arrow – will move your cursor quicker to the beginning of the previous word you’ve typed instead of arrowing one letter at a time.
- CTRL + Right arrow – moves your cursor to the end of the word.
- ALT + Backspace – retrieves an item you’ve deleted by mistake.
- CTRL + Backspace – deletes an entire word.
- CTRL + C – copies selected area.
- CTRL + V – pastes copied item.
- CTRL + X – cuts a selected item
- CTRL + A – selects all.
- CTRL + N – opens a new document in Word
- CTRL + P – open the print window
- CTRL + K – insert link
- CTRL + Z – the ultimate hot key….will undo any action.
- CTRL + Y – will redo whatever you undid.
- CTRL + Shift +T – will bring back a closed tab if you accidentally close one.
- CTRL + Home – goes to the beginning of the document
- End – goes to the end of the current line.
- Shift + Home – highlights from current position to beginning of the line.
- Shift + End – highlights from current position to end of the line.
- Alt + Print Screen – creates a screenshot of the current program page.
- CTRL + W – closes document.
